The Governor of the State, Martín Orozco Sandoval, held a meeting with the Turkish Ambassador in Mexico, Tahsin Timur Söylemez, to discuss the economic strengths of Aguascalientes and some business opportunities or possible investment projects of Turkish companies in the state.
During the meeting, the state leader reported that bilateral trade between Turkey and Mexico occurs primarily in the manufacturing sector of the automotive industry, hence the broad possibilities for Turkish companies to settle in Aguascalientes.
Orozco Sandoval showed the diplomat the characteristics that have positioned the State as an attractive pole for new investments focused mainly on the diversification of strategic sectors and with greater momentum in terms of technological innovation.
Also, the president congratulated the ambassador for the celebration of the 90th anniversary of the diplomatic relations between Mexico and Turkey held in 2018.
For his part, the Turkish ambassador to Mexico informed the governor that during his visit to Aguascalientes he toured the Pan-American University Aguascalientes campus, where he met with the rector of this institution, Gabriel Domínguez García Villalobos, and where he dictated to the students the conference The foreign policy of Turkey: a humanitarian and entrepreneurial perspective.
