The Secretary of Economic Development, Luis Ricardo Martinez Castañeda informed the governor Martín Orozco Sandoval, that the employment in Aguascalientes was placed in the fifth place nationally with a positive annual variation of 5.3 percent during the month of December, above the average national rate of 3.4 percent.
In this regard, the state leader reiterated his commitment to generating new job opportunities and competitive salaries, which allow the entity to remain in the national leadership regarding economic and social development.
The head of SEDEC informed that based on the most recent results from Aguascalientes in terms of job creation and incorporation of benefits to employment with the Mexican Social Security Institute (IMSS), the State registered the generation of 16 166 thousand new jobs at the close of 2018.
He explained that so far in this administration, has been able to incorporate to the IMSS 31 thousand 497 jobs.
The head of SEDEC, said that 91 percent of new formal jobs correspond to permanent positions and the remaining nine percent to temporary positions.
Finally, Martínez Castañeda stressed the importance of continuing to generate jobs so that more people have an income and can improve their quality of life and reiterated the commitment of the current state administration to be close to citizens and to foster the conditions for economic growth.
