In 2019, the economic policy of stimulating new investments, certainty to the labor sector and productive diversification will be continued, which will allow Aguascalientes to remain at the top of the national level in terms of economic development, said the State Governor, Martín Orozco Sandoval.
The state governor said that during this 2018, Aguascalientes advanced in terms of job creation and was distinguished at the national level as one of the entities in the top 5 with new job positions created in recent months.
He indicated that one of the public policies on economic development that will continue in the next year will be the strengthening of competitiveness levels, to attract high added value capitals and seek productive diversification.
Orozco Sandoval said that so far this year have been generated in Aguascalientes almost 21 thousand new formal jobs, of which 91 percent are permanent and the remaining nine percent are eventual.
He said that the financial discipline policy that has allowed international organizations to grant high credit ratings and position the entity in a healthy and transparent financial situation will continue to this day.
The governor highlighted the record number of Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), which adds more than two billion dollars and exceeds the figures obtained in the past administration.
He made it clear that this achievement was obtained thanks to the climate of trust and certainty for investors who bet on Aguascalientes; He mentioned that the economic policy for 2019 includes the impulse for the industrial plants installed in the entity to expand their facilities and production capacity.
He added that Aguascalientes has the fastest growth rate of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the country, and 40 percent of the economically active population has technical or university studies.
Orozco Sandoval guaranteed that the economic development of the State will be aligned in 2019, to strategic pillars such as agro-businesses, the construction sector, the aerospace, pharmaceutical and automotive industries.
Finally, he maintained that the current administration will continue to work based on the State Development Plan to make Aguascalientes a competitive, diversified and prosperous state based on hard work, innovation, intelligence and government vision.
